Many Brisbane-based guests choose Noosa Confidential for the privacy, natural beauty, and one-on-one care our residential program offers. Located just over an hour from Brisbane, our hinterland retreat provides a calm, restorative setting, with private suites, tailored therapies, and easy access to beaches and national parks. One-on-one sessions often take place outdoors, walking barefoot along the sand or through rainforest trails, blending evidence-based treatment with the healing power of nature.
We support Brisbane-based individuals seeking private, one-on-one residential care for substance misuse, with tailored programs across a range of common dependencies:

Every program begins with a detailed pre-admission assessment to understand the whole person, not just the symptoms. For Brisbane-based clients, this can be completed remotely.
If clinically indicated, a medically supervised detox is arranged prior to admission. From there, guests enter a one-on-one residential program at our private hinterland retreat, approximately 1 hour from Brisbane. Every aspect of care is tailored from nutrition and movement to medical, psychological and emotional therapies.
Recovery doesn’t stop at discharge. We offer 12 months of structured aftercare, including telehealth sessions with your treating team to maintain progress and provide ongoing support.
Every guest at Noosa Confidential works one-on-one with a consistent, multi‑disciplinary care team. Unlike traditional group-based models, our approach ensures you’re never just another face in the room.
Our clinical programs are guided by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals – all collaborating under one roof. This integrated model means no handovers, repetition, or disjointed care. Just a seamless experience from your first session to your final day.
Each treatment plan is built and delivered by the same people who support your progress daily. You’ll see familiar faces, build real trust, and move forward with a team that truly knows you.
At Noosa Confidential, we recognise that recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why family involvement is embedded into every program.
From the very beginning, we work with loved ones to educate, set healthy boundaries, and create a shared understanding of the journey ahead. Whether you’re supporting someone with addiction, mental health challenges, or chronic conditions, you’ll be guided by our team every step of the way.
If you’re supporting someone through treatment, we’ve created a dedicated guide to help you understand what to expect and how to care for yourself.
Every guest’s journey is different, but most stay between four and eight weeks at our private residential retreat in Noosa, just over an hour from Brisbane.
During this time, guests have access to a full continuum of care, delivered one-on-one. Your stay includes tailored therapies (psychological, psychiatric, somatic, behavioural), medical oversight, evidence-based treatments, and a personalised nutrition plan. You’ll stay in a private suite and enjoy shared living spaces designed to foster calm, connection, and healing.
We go beyond symptom management. Our integrated approach addresses the root causes of addiction, mental health conditions, or complex diagnoses, using targeted therapies designed to create lasting change.
After discharge, all Brisbane-based guests receive 12 months of structured aftercare via telehealth, ensuring continuity of care and ongoing support in your home environment.

Noosa Confidential is located approximately one hour north of Brisbane, offering a discreet and private setting away from the pace of city life. Our admissions team will coordinate your journey from start to finish, ensuring a smooth, confidential transition into care.
Whether you’re arriving by car or prefer a private transfer, we’ll help organise the most comfortable option to suit your needs. From your first point of contact, everything is handled with care and discretion so you can focus on what matters: getting better.
Noosa Confidential operates on a proposal-based model. That means we don’t offer generic packages—your program and pricing are tailored following a comprehensive pre-admission assessment.
Costs vary depending on your length of stay, therapeutic inclusions, and any selected medical modalities. All programs are residential and include private accommodation, one-on-one therapy, daily movement and nutrition support, and access to a multi-disciplinary team.
We’re not government-funded and do not offer Medicare rebates, but some private health insurers may contribute to specific medical components. Our team will walk you through your personalised proposal and answer any questions, ensuring transparency and confidentiality.
What is the difference between a one-on-one program, a group program or a blended program?
A one-on-one program means every therapy and treatment is delivered exclusively in a private, individual setting.
A group program means all sessions take place in a group or classroom-style environment.
A blended program combines both—most services are delivered in a group setting, with only a few therapy sessions happening one-on-one.
What does all-inclusive really mean?
It means there are no additional out of pocket expenses. Some service providers offer “limited” programs often called “essentials or Foundation programs” which are designed to make their cup front pricing appear to be favourable, however, upon arrival guests are likely to require purchasing additional add-ons to ensure the solution is comprehensive.
Everything included in NC programs is deemed necessary and all guests are exposed to everything we offer.
Will I have a consistent team?
Yes. At Noosa Confidential, you’ll work with one dedicated team throughout your entire stay. From your initial assessment through to your personalised program, aftercare planning, and ongoing support, your team will remain consistent. This continuity builds deep trust, ensures aligned care, and allows your clinicians and therapists to better understand your needs, goals, and progress.
Who is the non-residential program best suited for?
This program is designed for individuals with milder symptoms and isn’t suitable for those with co-occurring conditions or behavioural issues like addiction, OCD, or eating disorders. It’s ideal for people seeking high-quality, personalised care but do not necessitate a full rehabilitation program.
How does Noosa Confidential support recovery?
We create personalised residential programs that treat the whole person – combining therapy, medical care, nutrition, and aftercare to support long-term wellbeing.
What is included in the program cost?
Our residential programs cover everything except flights, providing all-inclusive care with no hidden fees or add-ons. Each residential guest benefits from thorough preparation and support before arrival, a fully immersive experience including all therapies, treatments, activities, tests, meals, accommodation, airport transfers, and 12 months of comprehensive aftercare.
Outpatient programs are designed with flexible formats and pricing depending on your program needs. Please contact us for more information.
How many guests are accommodated at once?
We limit our intake to just five guests at a time — intentionally — so every individual receives the dedicated, personalised care they deserve.
What is the duration of the programs?
Program duration is always focused on driving real, lasting change—not simply checking boxes or meeting arbitrary timelines. It reflects the time needed for meaningful biological and behavioural shifts to take hold.
What does ‘tailored treatment’ mean?
Tailored means every element of the program — therapies, treatments, testing, diet, activities and daily schedule — is personalised and adjusted as each guest’s needs shift, ensuring support stays relevant to their current experience rather than a fixed plan
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a range of primary concerns including substance use, mental health disorders, trauma, and co-occurring conditions.
At the same time, we address other impactful issues such as disrupted sleep, poor gut health, relationship challenges, chronic pain and more - because real recovery means treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
Is rehabilitation covered by insurance?
In Australia, to have a program covered by private health insurance, you need the optional “hospital cover,” which applies only to hospitals or clinics.
Privately funded and operated programs like ours aren’t classified as hospitals or clinics, so they aren’t covered. However, these programs provide a higher, more individualised, and more effective level of care than what’s typically available in the mainstream system.
What should I expect during rehabilitation?
Expect honesty. Expect disruption. Expect to be challenged - compassionately, but directly.
Rehab at NC isn’t a retreat or a break from life. It’s a full system reset. From day one, you’ll be surrounded by a dedicated team that includes doctors, therapists, nurses, nutritionists, bodyworkers, and functional medicine practitioners - each working together to support your unique needs.
You’ll begin with thorough testing to get a clear picture of what’s actually going on: biologically, psychologically, and behaviourally. From there, your program is built and adapted daily to your needs.
Expect daily one-on-one therapy, medical and nutritional support, gut health work, body-based treatments, and nervous system regulation. No filler. Just the right support, at the right time, delivered by a team that’s in your corner. And for residential patients, when you leave, the work continues with 12 months of aftercare to back you up.
How long does rehabilitation take?
After 16 years in operation, we know that anything less than 4 weeks in residence rarely scratches the surface.
Real change takes time - which is why every program includes 12 months of comprehensive aftercare as standard.
We don’t want repeat business. We want you well.
What is rehabilitation?
Rehabilitation is where the life changing work happens.
It's not about going back to who you were, but moving forwards to a new and empowered version of self.
It’s a focused, no-nonsense process designed to tackle the root causes of your challenges; whether addiction, mental health, trauma, or other complex issues.
Unlike quick fixes, wellness retreats, or surface-level treatments, rehab isn’t about feeling good for a moment or masking symptoms. It’s about getting real with yourself and committing to tailored therapies, medical care, and practical support that create lasting change.
Let’s talk about how we can support you.
